Review, Replace or Recyle
R22 refrigerant is now a banned substance. It is used to complete most repairs and servicing of the majority air conditioning systems.
To comply companies are being encouraged to adopt new, low carbon technologies to improve efficiency. The need to reduce CO2 emissions is further driving the demand for improved energy efficiency in every commercial building, whatever the application.
You could make considerable savings on your running costs by simply putting an action plan in place. The government have put in place the Enhanced Capital Allowance scheme which allows any company replacing an existing air conditioning system with a more energy efficient installation to offset the entire cost of the project against its taxable profits in the year the new system is installed. It should also be remembered that a more energy efficient system will enable building owners to achieve improved energy ratings under the Energy Performance of Building Directive.
If you are a building owner or occupier who is concerned about meeting your responsibilities, please do not hesistate in contacting AES for further information. Preparation and planning is key so be pro active and make savings now.
